Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan, sometimes referred to as SRK, is a renowned Indian actor, producer, and television personality who primarily appears in Hindi-language movies. 

He is regarded as one of the most prosperous performers in Bollywood and is frequently referred to as the “Baadshah of Bollywood,” “King of Bollywood,” and “King Khan.” The actor is referred to as one of the most well-known cinema stars in the world and has a sizable fan base in Asia and among the Indian diaspora globally.

Shah Rukh Khan was born into a middle-class household; his mother was a magistrate and his father had had a transport business.
When he was born, his maternal grandmother gave him the name Abdul Rehman; however, his father later gave him the name Shah Rukh Khan.

He said during an interview that his mother was of South Indian descent and was from Andhra Pradesh before moving to Karnataka.

At the Bengaluru home of his maternal grandparents, he spent his formative years. I was adopted by my grandparents while my parents were struggling to make ends meet, Shah Rukh remarked during a conversation at the Indian Institute of Management alumni reunion in Bangalore. Therefore, I lived in Bengaluru for the first five to six years of my life.

Subhash Chandra Bose, a well-known Indian liberation warrior, knew Shah Rukh Khan’s father because General Shah Nawaz, Subhash Chandra’s second-in-command, was his cousin.

His parents wed in a union of love. Their first encounter took place in a hospital where his mother was receiving treatment for a wound that required blood. His father gave his mother blood at that time. At that instant, their relationship began.

Shahrukh, which means “Face of the King,” is his given name, but he likes to go by Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan is incredibly passionate about video gaming.

When he was in school, he excelled in sports.

Additionally, he has served as the spokesperson for several government initiatives, including “Pulse Polio” and “National AIDS Control Organization.” As the first international representative of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council, he was appointed by the UNOPS.

Shah Rukh Khan established the Meer Foundation (NGO) in 2013 with the goal of empowering Indian women and assisting burn and acid assault survivors.

He became the first Indian actor and second Indian citizen after Sachin Tendulkar to have his biography published by Kraken Opus when it was released the same year under the title “King Khan: The Official Opus of Shah Rukh Khan.”

He is a night person and sleeps every day at around 5 in the morning.

He admitted that he was fixated on computers during a rapid-fire round of a chat programme.

Shah Rukh Khan rescued Aishwarya Rai’s manager, Archana Sadanand, from a fire at the 2019 Diwali celebration at Amitabh Bachchan’s home. When Archana’s lehenga caught fire, she was in the courtyard with her daughter. Shah Rukh ran to her and extinguished the flames while everyone else was left speechless by the incident.

Shah Rukh Khan PhD Scholarship was established by La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 2019.
