Random Number in Php

A random number is a number picked at random from a defined distribution so that a large group of these numbers reproduces the underlying distribution. Almost always, such numbers must also be independent, with no relationships between subsequent numbers.

Computers may produce really random numbers by recognising unpredictability in outside data, such as mouse movements or fan noise, and synthesising data from it. This is referred to as entropy. Other times, they produce “pseudorandom” numbers by employing an algorithm that makes the results look random even when they aren’t.
